Directions to Cross Country Meets/Practices

Sunken Meadow State Park:

Meets:

From Southern State Parkway - Take Sagtikos Parkway North

From the Expressway - Take Sunken Meadow Parkway North

Once you are on the Sagtikos/Sunken Meadow Parkway's - go to the end.  

Drive past the toll booth (no fee at night after 4pm) to the bottom of the hill. Go over the little bridge and make the first right.  Follow this road to the eastern most parking lot.

The team will be set up across from the finish line.

Practices:

From Southern State Parkway - Take Sagtikos Parkway North

From the Expressway - Take Sunken Meadow Parkway North

Once you are on the Sagtikos/Sunken Meadow Parkway's - go to the end.   Drive past the toll booth (no fee at night after 4pm) to the bottom of the hill.

At the bottom of the hill Continue straight over the bridge and turn right into the parking lot. Continue to the eastern most part of the parking lot. That is the race start line.

Van Cortlandt Park:

Take the Throngs-Neck Bridge to the Cross Bronx Expressway (I-95) (toward the GWB). Take exit 1C and follow the signs to 87N (Major Deegan North) (stay to your right on the exit).

Continue on 87N to exit 11. Follow signs to Manhattan College (keeping to the right again). Make a right on Broadway. The park is approximately 1-Mile down the road on your right.

Parking is not fun. If you are bringing an athlete who is competing, please drop him off on Broadway and then look for a parking spot.

Bowdoin Park:

Go over the Throgs Neck Bridge and take 95N toward Connecticut.  Stay on 95N until exit 21 (287W).  Take 287 west to exit 9A (684 Brewster).  Stay on 684 until exit 9W (I-84 West). 

Take I-84 West to exit 11. Follow route 9D North for approximately 5 miles.  At 4^th traffic light (excluding exit ramp light) turn left onto County Road 28. 

Bear right at fork in road.  Turn right at end of road.  Turn left onto Sheafe Road.  Proceed approximately ¾ mile: Bowdoin Park is on the left.

Brown Inv – Goddard Park

Take I-95 to exit 8A/Rte 2 South.  At the first light turn left onto Rte 401 East/Division St.   In one mile the road curves to the right onto First Ave. 

Turn right onto Main St.  At next left turn left onto Old Forge Rd.  Old Forge Rd becomes Ives Rd.  One mile to the park entrance.

Park Ave Babylon:

Take Exit 40 on Sunrise Hwy and go South on Deer Park Ave.  Go approximately 1 mile until you get to Park Ave

(Dairy Barn on the corner) and turn right.  Go about 1/2 mile and you will see the tennis courts on your right, park there.

If you see the basketball courts or the Elementary School, you have just passed us
